By the end of the day you will have filled pages of your sketchbook with new ideas to take forwards into your painting.
There will be some materials provided such as waterbased paint and coloured pencils. You will need to bring your own sketchbook and any materials you like to use. Suggested sketchbooks and materials to bring will be provided when booking. Light refreshments provided but please bring your own lunch.

Weekly classes:
From January 2023 I will be running two weekly painting groups on Tuesday and Friday mornings at Arthouse, South Brent. Arthouse is a lovingly restored Victorian schoolhouse with two fully equipped light and airy art studios. The single storey building is fully accessible, being on the ground floor with no internal steps. There is free parking in the small car park or in nearby streets.
All levels of ability are welcome.
Beginners will be guided through a separate programme within the group setting.
Returners may choose to work on their own projects or use the suggested topic for that term. Topics usually follow a seasonal theme based around still life, landscape or a more abstract approach. Session 1 usually consists of guided warm up exercises to bring new ideas. These are friendly, supportive classes. Learning happens through trying things out, 1:1 weekly tutorials and students’ feedback to eachother.
You will need to bring your own materials although there are some to borrow. If you are new to painting you can wait until the first session to discuss the best materials to buy.

Whats App group
There will be a Whats app group open to all previous students and those currently attending classes. The purpose of this is that if you can’t make a weekly session you can sell it to someone who can’t attend regularly or swap it with someone in the other group (for that week only - as numbers are strictly limited to 7). Please contact Suzy if you wish to be added to the group in order to pick up the occasional class if you can’t attend regularly.
Early booking is advised
